Ports of Auckland Art-Box
At SeePort 2014, local artists TrustMe and AskewOne painted a refrigerated 40-foot Maersk Line container before traveling around the world to raise awareness of container shipping as the most low cost, energy efficient form of global transportation.
The interior graphics were created as a display at SeePort for the public to understand the jopurney and the purpose.
On one side of the exterior, AskewOne has created one of his famous faces – called Gigi. On the other side, TrustMe has reimagined his “Greetings from Aotearoa” work which can be seen in Ponsonby, Auckland.
